A private 6-bedroom villa on a quiet cul-de-sac, with views of Lion's Head, the Twelve Apostles and the Atlantic.
A few of you have understandably asked about safety in South Africa this year, given the news coverage of xenophobic violence against African nationals, including Nigerians, since the spring. I take that seriously and wanted to be upfront rather than just reassuring you.
That violence has been real, but it's been concentrated in specific areas - Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban - and aimed at people living and working there, not at short-term visitors. We'll be in Camps Bay, an affluent seafront suburb with its own private security patrols and CCTV coverage, and one of the lowest crime profiles in Cape Town. The villa itself also has on-site security.
I've spoken directly to people who live there, including Nigerians and South Africans, and they've all echoed the same message.
A few sensible precautions: we'll move around as a group, especially after dark, use Uber or booked transport rather than walking late at night, and keep valuables low-key in public. Cape Town's tourist areas - the Waterfront, Camps Bay, the Winelands - are well-patrolled and busy with visitors year-round.
Pricing does not include flights or optional activities outside of the itinerary. You'll have some spare time to explore Cape Town, so additional spending money is advised.
